Ribs, Flash Storm and Coldplay

A 1pm wake-up effort gave me just enough time to watch online horse racing **plug BigPond racing** and get ready for Coldplay.

My 2 horses both made me lose mon-neigh. I should really stay away from horse racing, at least until I find out what tote means. After some mild cussing at the LCD monitor, it was time for ribs and Coldplay.

The meal at ribs and rumps was ridiculously filling. I opted for a burger since I am not a big fan of ribs.

A freaky flash storm ripped through Homebush just as we left the restaurant for Acer Arena. We stopped off at a convenient store to buy an umbrella (ella ella). The $8 umbrella was no match for the raging wind and rain. Even the bulldogs fans we passed along the way were mild compared to the storm.

There were abandoned umbrellas and umbrella carnage along our treacherous route. There were also many women who wished they didn't wear white and black under garments tonight. Luckily the Sea Eagles and Bulldogs boys were preoccupied next door at ANZ Stadium. The sight may have led to all sorts of dubious behaviour. Although I doubt Coldplay fans have fathers with criminal records ... pathetic Channel 9 tactics by the way.

When we reached the gates, the security guard suggested that I use the ladies to dry myself - yup I was duh-renched.

Coldplay did not disappoint. The show was awesome. My only complaint is that they should have played a few more songs. My other complaint is 'sit down up the front!'

If you ever wonder about the proliferation of mobile phones, take a look at the last photo above.

I shall leave you with yellow ...

  1. How long did Coldplay stay on stage for, and who opened for them? I should've gone too... maybe next time huh. Coldplay is one of my favourite bands nowadays...

Photos looks good, and the video is great too. Hearing your half-hearted cries made me laugh...

It was the best concert I've been to. Think a combination of the songs they sing, the crowd involvement, their stage presence, the lighting and lasers and of course the company =)

Gregan, you should have definitely gone!
It really kept me wanting more, and there were no flat spots in the concert, which is quite rare. Perhaps. it's also as I was in the seated area, think my time on the dance floor is a thing of the past.

Also, highly recommend the lamb ribs at Ribs and Rump.. half a rack is more than anyone will need.
